Whitehouse FFA team shows at Youth Expo


Whitehouse FFA participated in last week’s Smith County Youth Expo which ran from Wednesday-Friday, Feb. 28-March 2, at Bullard High School.

Grand Champion went to Spencer Stanton in Open Ag Mechanics for his 25-foot gooseneck trailer.

In market barrows, Emma Johnston won first in Berkshire Weight Class #1 and walked away with Reserve Berkshire Champion. Abby Johnston received second place in the Duroc Weight Class #3, but also came away with Reserve Duroc Champion.

Also placing in market barrows were: Jacob Sanders, Hampshire Class 1, place 4; Tate Matthews, Hampshire Class 2, place 6; Kristopher Roberts, Hampshire Class 3, place 5; Brittin Palmer, Hampshire Class 4, place 2; Brody Wade, Hampshire Class 4, place 5; Trinity Roberts, Cross Weight Class 3, place 7 and Leslie Hargis, Cross Weight Class 6, place 6.

Other placements included:

Beef Heifers: Emmy Walley, English Heifers Class 2, place 3.

Market Goats: Toren Thompson, Weight Class 3, place 2 and Julia Boucher, Weight Class 5, place 3.

Market Rabbits: Trailbe Goff, place 8; Brianna Botelho, place 10; Madison Brown, place 12; Shanna Sebring, place 17; Kira Jimmerson, place 22; Madelyn Burlingame, place 23; Kaleb Desaulniers, place 32; Samantha Scot, place 35 and Boston Palmer, place 42.
