On Thursday, Aug. 9, Troup ISD Superintendent Tammy Jones hosted a back to school pep rally for teachers and staff with the aid of the band as well as varsity, junior varsity and middle school cheerleaders. Jones’ intention was to get everyone into the school spirit. The principals introduced their staff, members of each campus performed a cheer and recognitions were made. Individuals even competed in minute-to-win-it competitions. Jones encouraged all who were present to remember why they chose the field of education and to keep that as their focus throughout the year.
