Troup FFA represented the school with a number of animals at the Smith County Youth Expo held Wednesday-Friday, Feb. 28-March 2, at Bullard High School.
First in class, class champions and even a grand champion were among awards received by Troup’s participants.
The grand champion winner was Grady Lowry with his market roaster. Among Beef Heifer entries, Morgan McDaniel’s Brangus took Reserve Grand Champion and American Champion. Mason Hunter, who entered a Charloais, was awarded Exotic Champion.
In market barrows, Heidi Hardy took first in Hampshire class 4, Cooper Reid was first in Hampshire Class #5 and Sarah Neel, won Spot Champion with her first place entry in Spot weight class 1.
Holly Weathers won with her goat in Weight Class 2.
