The date has been set and folks from Troup will want to mark the date. The annual banquet of the Troup Chamber of Commerce begins at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 19, at Troup High School.
John Moore has been invited as guest speaker and catering will be provided by Troup’s own Ray & Wade East Texas BBQ.
Tickets for the event are on sale now and are available for purchase at city hall or from any chamber director. Dinner prices are $15 each or two for $25 for chamber members. For non-members, ticket prices are $17 each or two for $30.
“This annual event is the biggest gathering of the Troup community,” chamber executive director Suzanne Loudamy said. “It is not only about enjoying good food and good company, it is the time we honor those who serve Troup and Troup ISD in so many ways.”
Among the honorees recognized during the evening will be teachers of the year from each campus; police officer, volunteer firefighter and city employee of the year; citizen of the year and the lifetime achievement award recipient. The business of the year will also be acknowledged.
“Local businesses are invited to reserve a place to exhibit their services and products,” Loudamy said. “The attendees enjoy the expo and it gives businesses the opportunity to meet new people and shake hands with old friends.”
If your business would like to donate an item as one of the many door prizes to be given away during the banquet, it is asked that the gift card, service or product be a minimum $25 value.
If your business has a product or a service that you would like to feature, there is no charge for a small display booth. Displays can be set up beginning at 3:45 p.m. the day of the banquet. The school has a limited number of tables available so it is recommended the exhibitors bring their own. While no special application is necessary, the chamber would like to be informed if you plan to participate.
