Lovingly know as “Big Daddy,” a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, Henry Milburn (H.M.) Kimball Jr. passed away on Tuesday, Feb.28, 2017, at his home in Rosedale. He was 77 and a native of Maringouin, Louisiana.
Services were held March 4 at the First Baptist Church of Maringouin and conducted by Pastor Jimmy Womack. Interment was in Rosedale Cemetery, Rosedale, Louisiana.
He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Patti and husband Donny Green of Whitehouse, Peggy and husband Warren Dufrene Jr. of Rosedale, Louisiana; one sister, Betty Lewis; grandchildren, Mendy Souter and husband Jeremy, Matt Green and wife Katherine, Amy Miller and husband Derek, Aaron Webber and wife Courtney, Austin Webber; great grandchildren, Chance, Carson and Emma Souter, Faith, Jayce, Jayden and Easton Miller, Camryn and Mia Webber, Gavin and Landon Green.
He was preceded in death by his wife Darlene S. Kimball, daughter Pamela A. Kimball, great grandson Noah J. Miller, mother, Georgie S. Kimball, father Henry M. Kimball, Sr., brother William L. Kimball, brother in law Roy H. Lewis.
He was a 1958 graduate of Georgia Military Academy, Past Alderman for Town of Maringouin, Past President of Maringouin Lions Club, Past President of the Greater Baton Rouge Port Commission, Past Commissioner of the Atchafalaya Basin Levee District, President of Kimball Oil Company and President of Kimball Properties.
Pallbearers were Matt Green, Jeremy Souter, Aaron Webber, Derek Miller, Austin Webber, Chance Souter and Carson Souter.
Honorary pallbearers were Will Kimball, Kevin Kimball, Craig Lewis, Phil Thibodeaux, Brian Willie and Ralph Willie.
