Whitehouse Parks and Recreation will host Halloween in the Park from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28. This is a free public event held in a family friendly atmosphere where children can receive candy at a variety of booths hosted by local businesses and organizations. The Whitehouse city park is located at 309 E. Main Street, between TX-110 and Bascom Road.
The city expects anywhere from 300 – 500 people to participate. While there are no special restrictions on costumes or accessories, guests should be reminded that regular, posted restrictions will still apply. Because this is an event aimed at young children, lewd and revealing costumes are not encouraged.
Halloween in the Park will be immediately followed by a movie in the park. Residents are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs and enjoy a showing of Hotel Transylvania 2. This movie is rated PG and has a runtime of one hour and 31 minutes.
You can promote your business or organization from a child-friendly booth for the price of your candy. A booth can be registered now through Oct. 26 by contacting Melissa Briscoe at firstname.lastname@example.org or 903-954-0003.
