Freedom in the Park comes Memorial Day weekend

Whether you like it for the atmosphere, the food, the cars, the music or the fireworks bring the kids and grandma to a day of celebration. Freedom in the Park returns to Whitehouse City Park on Saturday, May 27.

This free event will have something for everyone. The day kicks off at 10 a.m. with a car show, entertainment and activities for kids including the Whitehouse Splash Park. There is no admission fee for the Splash Park on that day. Come and enjoy the vendors and games, the fun of the BBQ contest and concessions by Ted Kamel Foods.

Live music by Texas Rebellion and other local bands will fill the afternoon and a fireworks show put on by MPA will cap off the night.

There is still time to get in on the BBQ contest, the car show or as a vendor/exhibitor. Visit the Whitehouse Chamber of Commerce website for all of the forms necessary to enter.
