Game Time for Seniors

Game Time for Senior Citizens will be Wednesday, July 5 from 1-3 p.m. at the Troup library. All senior citizens are welcome to attend.  

AARP driver safety program offered  

The next AARP Driver Safety course is set for Wednesday, July 5, 12:30-4:40 p.m., at Green Acres Baptist Church. The cost for AARP members is $15 with non-members paying $20. After completion of the 4 hour course you may be entitled to a discount on your automobile insurance. Contact Harry H. Jam session and sing along

Jam session and sing along runs from 1:30-4 p.m. each Friday. Everyone is welcome to attend and participate. Acoustic instruments only. Music includes Country, Bluegrass and Gospel. TASCA members are free. Guests are $1 each. TASCA is located at 10495 CR 2167 (Jim Russell Rd), Whitehouse. 

City water quality report available

The City of Whitehouse 2016 Annual Drinking Water Quality Report is available www.whitehousetx.org/current-ccr/. A copy can also be obtained at City Hall.  

Recycle-Recycle-Recycle

Republic Services in Whitehouse picks up recycling on Wednesday. Recyclable items include paper, newspaper, cardboard, plastic, aluminum cans and tin cans. 

Troup has a self-service recycling receptacle. The Allied Waste Recycling bin is located at the corner of W. Bradford and N. Georgia.

American Legion weekly events

American Legion in Troup at 301 Magnolia has pool tournaments beginning at 7 p.m. each Wednesday night. 

Church Activities

FBC Omen breakfast

The First Baptist Church of Omen hosts a men’s prayer breakfast the first Saturday of the month, 8-9:30 a.m. Men of the community are invited to come for fellowship and a full breakfast.

Whitehouse UMC hosts breakfast

The First United Methodist Church of Whitehouse hosts breakfast the first Saturday of the month from 8-10 a.m. A full breakfast meal is served and donations are accepted. The church is located at 405 W. Main.
