Knoxville Cemeter

The annual Knoxville Cemetery Memorial Day is set for Sunday, June 4 with a worship service beginning at 11 a.m. Following the service will be a short business meeting and covered dish lunch. Everyone is invited. Please bring your lawn chairs. 

Whitehouse Cemetery Assoc. meets

You are invited to the annual Memorial Service to be held on Sunday, June 4 at 10:45 a.m. at the cemetery. You are encouraged to attend the business meeting followed by a memorial service and then a picnic lunch. Union Grove Cemetery Assoc to meet

The annual business meeting of the Union Grove Cemetery Association is set for Sunday, June 4 at 10:45 a.m. Jim Norman is the speaker. It will be followed by a memorial service then dinner and fellowship.  

Clothes Closet open

The Clothes Closet at the Church of Christ, 412 W. Duval in Troup, is open the first Tuesday of the month for those in need of clothing for their family. Doors are open 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. and 4-6 p.m. 

Outdoor warning system test

The cities of Troup and Whitehouse test the outdoor warning siren system the first Tuesday of each month. Troup’s system is tested at 11 a.m. and the Whitehouse system is tested at 1 p.m. Should there be inclement weather the testing will be postponed to the following month.

Dixie Masonic Lodge to meet

The Dixie Masonic Lodge #272 in Troup will meet Tuesday, June 6 at 7 p.m. at the lodge hall. 

AARP driver safety program offered  

The next AARP Driver Safety course is set for Wednesday, June 7, 12:30-4:40 p.m., at Green Acres Baptist Church. The cost for AARP members is $15 with non-members paying $20. After completion of the 4 hour course you may be entitled to a discount on your automobile insurance. Contact Harry H. Game Time for Seniors

Game Time for Senior Citizens will be Wednesday, June 7 from 1-3 p.m. at the Troup library. All senior citizens are welcome to attend.  

Car and Cycle Show

Income Solutions Wealth Management will host a Family Car and Cycle Show in the parking lot of the First Baptist Church of Whitehouse, 801 E. Main, Saturday, June 3, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m..The event that includes The Son Shine Sisters clowns, face painting, balloon animals, bounce houses and food. All proceeds to benefit Life Blessings.

Car wash fundraiser

The children of Troup’s First United Methodist Church will have a car wash/bake sale fundraiser for camp on Saturday, June 3. If you would like to donate baked goods please have them at the church by 9 a.m. next Saturday. Please stop by to have your car washed and pick up some baked goods.
