AARP Driver Safety Class

There will be an AARP Driver Safety Class at Red Cross in Tyler at 320 E Rieck on Friday, May 19 at 12:30- 4:30 p.m. A second class is set for Wednesday, May 24 at the Tyler Senior Center, 1915 Garden Valley Road. The cost is $15 for AARP members and $20 for non-members. The class is open to all drivers with a valid driver’s license but is geared to participants over 50. Low cost vet care 

Dr. Lynn Foster DVM of Spay.Neuter.NOW and her staff will be at the Whitehouse Municipal Fire Station located at 303 E. Main St. in Whitehouse to offer low cost vet care on Saturday, May 20, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Please bring pets on a leash or confined in a carrier for everyone’s safety and comfort.

HC Cemetery Memorial Day

Henry’s Chapel Memorial Day is set for Sunday, May 21 with a service at 11 a.m. The speaker will be the Reverend Nathan Briggs. A covered dish lunch will follow. 

Knoxville Cemetery 

The annual Knoxville Cemetery Memorial Day is set for Sunday, June 4 with a worship service beginning at 11 a.m. Following the service will be a short business meeting and covered dish lunch. Everyone is invited. Please bring your lawn chairs. 

Whitehouse Cemetery Assoc. meets

You are invited to the annual Memorial Service to be held on Sunday, June 4 at 10:45 a.m. at the cemetery. You are encouraged to attend the business meeting followed by a memorial service and then a picnic lunch. Jam session and sing along

Jam session and sing along runs from 1:30-4 p.m. each Friday. Everyone is welcome to attend and participate. Acoustic instruments only. Music includes Country, Bluegrass and Gospel. TASCA members are free. Guests are $1 each.  TASCA is located at 10495 CR 2167 (Jim Russell Rd), Whitehouse. 

American Legion weekly events

American Legion in Troup at 301 Magnolia has pool tournaments beginning at 7 p.m. each Wednesday night.

Whitehouse City Council to meet

Whitehouse City Council will meet Tuesday, May 23 at 6 p.m. in the Whitehouse City Council and Court chambers at 311 E. Main.
