Jam session and sing along

Jam session and sing along runs from 1:30-4 p.m. each Friday. Everyone is welcome to attend and participate. Acoustic instruments only. Music includes Country, Bluegrass and Gospel. TASCA members are free. Guests are $1 each.  TASCA is located at 10495 CR 2167 (Jim Russell Rd), Whitehouse. 

Clothes Closet open

The Clothes Closet at the Church of Christ, 412 W. Duval in Troup, is open the first Tuesday of the month for those in need of clothing for their family. Doors are open 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. and 4-6 p.m. 

Outdoor warning system test

The cities of Troup and Whitehouse test the outdoor warning siren system the first Tuesday of each month. Troup’s system is tested at 11 a.m. and the Whitehouse system is tested at 1 p.m. Should there be inclement weather the testing will be postponed to the following month.

Dixie Masonic Lodge to meet

The Dixie Masonic Lodge #272 in Troup will meet Tuesday, March 7 at 7 p.m. at the lodge hall. 

AARP driver safety program offered  

The next AARP Driver Safety course is set for Wednesday, March 8, 12:30-4:30 p.m., at Pollard Methodist Church. The cost for AARP members is $15 with non-members paying $20. After completion of the 4 hour course you may be entitled to a discount on your automobile insurance. Contact Harry H. American Legion weekly events

American Legion in Troup at 301 Magnolia has pool tournaments beginning at 7 p.m. each Wednesday night.

Troup Band Boosters to meet 

The Troup Band Boosters will meet Monday, March 6 at 6:30 p.m. in the THS band hall.

Whitehouse Band Boosters meet Tuesday

The Whitehouse Band Boosters will meet Tuesday, March 7 at 7 p.m. in the WHS band hall.

Government Activities

WISD trustees to meet

The Whitehouse ISD trustees will meet on Monday, March 6 at 6 p.m. in the lecture hall of Whitehouse High School.
