Jam session and sing along
Jam session and sing along runs from 1:30-4 p.m. each Friday. Everyone is welcome to attend and participate. Acoustic instruments only. Music includes Country, Bluegrass and Gospel. TASCA members are free. Guests are $1 each. TASCA is located at 10495 CR 2167 (Jim Russell Rd), Whitehouse.
AARP driver safety program offered
The next AARP Driver Safety course is set for Wednesday, March 1, 12:30-4:40 p.m., at Green Acres Baptist Church. The cost for AARP members is $15 with non-members paying $20. After completion of the four-hour course you may be entitled to a discount on your automobile insurance. Contact Harry H. Game Time for Seniors
Game Time for Senior Citizens will be Wednesday, March 1 from 1-3 p.m. at the Troup library. All senior citizens are welcome to attend.

Republic Services in Whitehouse picks up recycling on Wednesday. Recyclable items include paper, newspaper, cardboard, plastic, aluminum cans and tin cans.
Troup has a self-service recycling receptacle. The Allied Waste Recycling bin is located at the corner of W. Bradford and N. Georgia.
American Legion weekly events
American Legion in Troup at 301 Magnolia has pool tournaments beginning at 7 p.m. each Wednesday night.
Bascom UMC hosts breakfast
The Bascom United Methodist Church on FM 848 hosts breakfast the last Saturday of the month from 8 - 9:30 a.m. A full breakfast meal is served and donations are accepted.
Whitehouse City Council to meet
Whitehouse City Council will meet Tuesday, Feb. 28 at 6 p.m. in the Whitehouse City Council and Court chambers at 311 E. Main.
