Funeral services for Margaret Anne Forst were held Saturday, July 23, at Autry Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville, with Bro. Christ Chadwick officiating. She was laid to rest at Still Waters Memorial Gardens in Jacksonville. Mrs. Frost went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, July 17, at home in Whitehouse.
Margaret Anne Nunn was born May 16, 1944, in Philadelphia, PA, to Otis A. Nunn Sr. and Ruth (Swann) Nunn. She graduated from High Point Central High School, High Point North Carolina and attended Guilford Technical Community College, High Point North Carolina. She met and married her husband of 54 years, Donat Lee Forst Sr. in 1962 while he was stationed in North Carolina in the Marine Corps. They lived in North Carolina, Indiana and Oklahoma before moving to Whitehouse in 1978.
Mrs. Forst worked in oil and gas bookkeeping and served as office manager for Bobbie S. Pirtle Embrey in Tyler for 35 years before retiring. Anne loved her garden and spending time with family. She had a great appreciation of music and was an avid bird watcher. She was a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Left to cherish her memory is her son, Lee Forst Jr. and wife Kathy of Victoria, daughter Lisa Cheatham and husband Danny of Troup, brother Otis Nunn Jr. and wife Martha of High Point, NC; sister Jenny Johnson of Jamestown, NC; grandchildren, Kyle Forst and wife Amber; and Allison Forst; great-grandchildren, Bryan, Angelo and Jace; and several nieces and nephews.
