Troup advanced to the championship match in the Silver Bracket at the East Texas Baptist University Tournament in Marshall over the weekend. The Lady Tigers were defeated by Liberty Eylau in a two-game match. Troup defeated Mount Pleasant, Queen City and Daingerfield but fell to Paris in tourney action. more
Scurry-Rosser 3, Bullard 0 The Bullard Lady Panther varsity volleyball team was back on the court last week, as the team loaded the bus and traveled to take part in a dual event against the Canton Lady Eagles and Scurry-Rosser Lady Wildcats Monday, Aug. 13, at Canton High School. In the dual, the first team facing off against the Bullard squad was the Scurry-Rosser Lady Wildcats. more
A senior athlete within the Bullard High School athletic department will have the opportunity to showcase his skills on the field of play this weekend. Colton Bowman, left-handed pitcher varsity baseball team, recently was selected to represent the state of Texas in the inaugural States Play Series, presented by Major League Baseball and USA Baseball. more
Coaches for the Bullard Panther football program recently had the opportunity to observe the level of talent at all levels in a simulated game event, as the team held an intrasquad scrimmage event Saturday, Aug. 18, at Bullard High School’s Panther Stadium. more
The final “walk-through” for the 2018 football season will be Friday, Aug. 24. For Whitehouse, the Wildcats will scrimmage Joshua at A.C. New Middle School in Mesquite. The varsity will begin at 7:30 p.m. Whitehouse scrimmaged at Kaufman last week. more
Whitehouse hosted Meet the Cats at Wildcat Stadium last week. Fans were introduced to the fall sports athletes, as well as the First Ladies, the band, cheerleaders and more. The event, usually held in The Arena, was moved to the stadium because of construction in the gymnasium area. more
The scene will be filled with a splash of red, white, and blue school colors, as the Bullard community will have an opportunity to meet the athletes representing the varsity fall sports teams at the annual Meet the Panthers event, scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 17, at Bullard High School’s Panther Stadium. more
Fans of local high school sports will not have to wait much longer to get a glimpse inside their favorite fall sports teams and organizations, as the annual Tri County Leader’s Fall Sports Previews will hit newsstands at the end of the month. This year, Tri County Leader will produce a total of two Fall Sport Preview sections, with one highlighting teams and organizations from Whitehouse High School and Troup High School, as well as another section detailing teams and organizations from Bullard High School and The Brook Hill School. more
Whitehouse will scrimmage at Kaufman with the freshmen and junior varsity set to start at 6 p.m., followed by the varsity scrimmage at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 17. The Wildcats will scrimmage Joshua at A.C. Middle School in Mesquite Friday, Aug. 24. To start the 2018 football season, Whitehouse will host Henderson at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 31. Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m. The freshmen games will be at 4 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, while the junior varsity will start at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, all at Henderson. more
