The Ladycats avenged losses to Jacksonville and Nacogdoches in the first round of the District 17-5A schedule with victories over the same two teams in the second round. Whitehouse went undefeated in the second round and capped the run with a 5-0 victory over Lindale to win the district championship. The Ladycats, 11-4-1, will play at A&M Consolidated at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 29, for their bi-district playoff contest. more
The Whitehouse soccer season concluded with a loss to Lindale. The Wildcats were edged out of the playoffs after falling to the Eagles 4-3. Brandon Nava, Alex Servin and Joey Gonzalez scored goals for Whitehouse. more

A trio of basketball players from Troup and Whitehouse were named to the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches All-Region roster for the 2017-18 season. Javier Neal, a senior guard at 5-9, helped lead Whitehouse to a District 17-5A title and a trip to the fourth round of the State playoffs. more
The defending Class-3A State champion Tigers will begin their quest to repeat their title when the team participates in the District 15-3A Tournament Monday, April 2, at Pine Springs Golf Club in Tyler. The first round of the tourney will begin at 9 a.m. Second round action will start at 9 a.m. Monday, April 9, also at Pine Springs. more
Whitehouse netters placed second in boys and mixed doubles and in girls singles in a home tournament last week. “We had a great two days,” said head tennis coach Patrick Howard. “From all the compliments I got, everyone was very impressed or downright jealous of our facility.” more
Whitehouse captured the team title at the Tommy Miller Relays in Hallsville Friday, March 23. The track teams also will host the Wildcat Relays Thursday, March 29. Three athletes will participate at the Texas Relays Friday and Saturday, March 30 and 31, in Austin. Participants will include Cameron Johnson in the pole vault, Theron Cobb in the high jump and Darius Trimble in the shot put. more
Troup lost the first two District 15-3A softball contests before the Lady Tigers shut out Arp and Winona to turn the tide. With a 2-2 record in the district team standings, Troup will play at West Rusk at noon Friday, March 30. Winona was 0-3 and West Rusk was 2-1 prior to Tuesday’s contests. The Lady Tigers also will play at Harmony (3-0 before Tuesday) at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 3. more

Meghan Adams paced the Ladycats at the Canton golf tournament last week. Adams carded a 93 for the 18-hole tourney. Whitehouse finished with a team total of 408 for seventh place among 19 teams. Medalists from an additional six other schools also participated in the event. Spring Hill won the team title with a 363, followed by Mabank at 376 and Grapeland with a 381. more
