Troup’s Payton Hugghins placed 25th in the Texas-Oklahoma Junior Golf Tournament in Wichita Falls June 19-21. Hugghins, who was a member of the Troup 2017 State Class-3A championship team, fired an 84 in the first round. He rebounded with a 72 in the second round and carded a 77 in the third round for a three-round total of 233. more
Whitehouse is one of 128 teams to qualify for the Texas State 7 on 7 football championships. The Wildcats will participate in the 64-team Division I, which includes Corsicana, Jacksonville, Longview, Lufkin, Marshall and other Class-6A and Class-5A schools. more
The Troup volleyball camp will be Thursday and Friday, July 13-14, at Troup High School. Camp will be for incoming freshmen through seniors. Registration forms are available on the Troup Independent School District website. more

The cost of the Whitehouse varsity football season tickets will be $30 for five home games, including Sept. 15 with Carthage; Sept. 22 with Sulphur Springs (also Homecoming); Oct. 13 with Ennis; Oct. 27 with Nacogdoches; and Nov. 10 with Lindale. more
The Whitehouse Volleyball Ladycat Camp will be from 9:30 a.m. to noon and 1-3 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, July 24 to 26. The camp will be for incoming freshmen only. The cost of the camp is $80 per camper. more
The Wildcat baseball and softball camps will be Tuesday through Thursday, Aug. 1-3, at the new Wildcat High School Sports Complex. The cost of each camp will be $80 on-site, including $10 off for a second camper in a family. more
Adam Cook will start his fifth year as head coach of the Whitehouse football team. He guided the Wildcats to the State playoffs last year and will focus on returning to that plateau in the 2017 season. Cook and the Wildcats finished the 2016 regular season with a 28-17 victory over Lindale after trailing 15-7 in the first half. The win catapulted Whitehouse into the State playoffs, but the Wildcats were knocked out in the first round. more
