Brook Hill Guard 0, Grace Community Cougars 2, FINAL The Brook Hill Guard varsity soccer team resumed soccer action recently, as the team participated in a district tie-breaker contest against the Grace Community Cougars Wednesday, Feb. 7, at Grace Community High School. The winner of the contest would be named as the top seed in the district heading into the TAPPS playoff picture, while the losing team would still make the playoffs as the second seed. more

Troup entered the Class-3A State playoffs with a convincing victory to end the regular season and played Harleton at Union Grove Tuesday, Feb. 13, in a bi-district playoff match. The Lady Tigers concluded the regular season with a 20-8 record, including 9-3 and first place for the District 15-3A title. more
They won 14 of their last 15 games, including 10 in District 15-3A competition to advance to the playoffs. The Tigers added victories over Arp and West Rusk last week and were scheduled to conclude the regular season at Winona Tuesday, Feb. 13. If the Tigers defeated Winona, as expected (they won 64-36 in the last meeting), Troup will advance as district champions and will be the top seed in the playoffs. Tentatively, the Tigers will play Elysian Fields in bi-district competition Tuesday, Feb. 20, at Union Grove. Tip-off will be at 8 p.m.   more
