The site of the new junior high has eliminated much of the previous parking area around the stadium, but Whitehouse Independent School District officials have ample replacements to accommodate fans. more

The 7th Annual “Tee Off for Toys” Golf Tournament will be Monday Sept. 25, at Hideaway Lake Golf Course. Hosted by the Tyler Professional Firefighters Association, the four-player scramble benefits The Salvation Army’s annual Angel Tree program. Beckville remained undefeated with a 47-21 win over Pineland and state-ranked Elysian Fields moved to 2-0 with a 28-20 victory over Winona. Arp suffered its second loss after falling 22-21 to Hughes Springs in a hard-fought contest. Harleton lost to Union Grove 31-14, and Waskom was defeated by Harmony 20-13. West Rusk was unable to fill its schedule last week. more
