For the Troup and Whitehouse volleyball programs, this will be the final weekend of the summer break. It is back to work for the Lady Tigers and Ladycats. Both Whitehouse and Troup have scrimmages scheduled for Friday and Saturday, Aug. 4 and 5. more
The Wildcat Baseball Camp will be Tuesday through Thursday, Aug. 1-3, at the new Wildcat High School Sports Complex. The cost of the camp will be $80 on-site, including $10 off for a second camper in a family. The camp will be from 5 to 7 p.m. for students who will start kindergarten through fourth grades, and from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. for students who will start fifth through eighth grade. more
Troup and Whitehouse linksters participated in the Northern Texas PGA Junior Tour at Emerald Bay in Bullard Monday, July 17. Jake Smelser finished tied for third in the boys 15-18 age group. He carded a 37-38—75. He was chasing Rustyn Goolsby of Mt. Pleasant, who won the division with a 33-38—71. more
The Hilltop Country Club in Troup hosted the weekly Senior Scramble July 11 had 20 players participating. The first place team at minus -17 included Jerry Massey, Chris Fredrick, Lynn Guthrie, Henry Edwards and Ray Griffith. more

The Texas Girls Coaches Association 2017 pre-season volleyball poll was released. In the poll, Class-1A and 2A compete together until playoffs, which is when a separate 1A ranking list is released. more
Following scrimmages with Sabine (Friday, Aug. 18) and Union Grove (Thursday, Aug. 24), Troup will open the 2017 season as host to Spring Hill anticipating the road to the playoffs. more
The Wildcat Youth Football League schedule has been released as follows: Saturday, July 22 – uniform/equipment sizing at First Baptist Church in Whitehouse (801 E Main St. Whitehouse). Times for sizing will be 8:30 a.m. for flag; 9-11 a.m. for freshman; 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for sophomores; and 1:30-3 p.m. for juniors. more
