McAllen will again host the Texas Amateur Athletic Federation Summer Games of Texas, welcoming young athletes from throughout Texas and Mexico to compete in 15 events. Whitehouse High School had nine representatives selected by the Northeast Texas Fellowship of Christian Athletes to participate in this year’s Heart Of A Champion All Star games.  The Whitehouse athletes include Connor Clark, Ryan Walls, Patrick Minor and Mason House in baseball; Kaylee Miller in softball; and Josh Deal, Kaleb Ford-Dement, Isaac Little, and Braylon Shackelford in football. more
It took nine trips to Austin to find gold. After placing second in the 2016 State Class-3A tournament, the Troup golf team soared to new heights at Grey Rock Golf Course in Austin last week. The Tigers claimed the State golf title after nine recent attempts in State competition. more
