Following a successful pre-district campaign, the Ladycats will begin District 17-5A competition Friday, Sept. 22. Before Whitehouse hosts Nacogdoches in the first loop match, the Ladycats will host Pleasant Grove starting at 4:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 15, and will play at Henderson with the varsity match slated to begin at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 19. The Ladycats also played at All Saints Tuesday, Sept. 12, with results to come. Before the match with All Saints, Whitehouse boasted a 20-7 mark for the season, including tournament competition. more
The road to the playoffs runs through the district schedule and for the Troup Lady Tigers, they got started on the right foot. Troup dominated the net with 31 kills and six blocks to defeat Harmony in the District 15-3A debut for both teams. more
New construction around Wildcat Stadium will require an adjustment to the usual parking arrangement when Whitehouse hosts Carthage for the football game Friday, Sept. 15. The site of the new junior high has eliminated much of the previous parking area around the stadium, but Whitehouse Independent School District officials have ample replacements to accommodate fans. more
Whitehouse hosted Bullard in tennis action last week, and the Wildcats and Ladycats dominated the action. Whitehouse won 17 of 19 matches. “Although this was actually an easier opponent, I saw solid growth across the board from our kids,” said head coach Patrick Howard. more
Spencer Otero and Ashley Smith paced Whitehouse in the Tyler Lee Cross Country Classic at UT Tyler Saturday, Sept. 9. The Wildcats and Ladycats will run at the Hallsville Cross Country Invitational starting at 8 a.m. Friday, Sept. 15. more
The 7th Annual “Tee Off for Toys” Golf Tournament will be Monday Sept. 25, at Hideaway Lake Golf Course. Hosted by the Tyler Professional Firefighters Association, the four-player scramble benefits The Salvation Army’s annual Angel Tree program. Each player is also asked to bring an unwrapped toy ($10 and up value) with them on the tournament day.   more
