Adrianna Schell, a University of Dallas student from Troup, completed the spring 2018 semester studying abroad on the university’s 12-acre Eugene Constantin Campus just outside Rome, Italy. Since 1970, University of Dallas students have been given the opportunity to spend a semester abroad studying in Rome, traveling and experiencing the art, architecture, literature, philosophy and deeds that form the basis of Western civilization. more

The Whitehouse Independent School District Board of Trustees appointed Al Flanagan to Place 2, the seat vacated when Dr. Howard Patterson tendered his resignation July 18. A special meeting of the trustees was called Wednesday, Aug. 1, where the appointment was approved and Flanagan was sworn in by district superintendent Dr. Christopher Moran. more
