Jake Baronowski and Alex Richards, tennis pros from Tyler Athletic and Swim, recently spent a day playing tennis with students at Holloway. They are donating a week of Thanksgiving tennis camp to one Holloway student, a value of $165. Any student interested in attending the camp will have a chance to win by submitting an essay to coach Holly Drain. The essay needs to tell why the student would like to attend camp. more

Principal Sterling Haskell and many of the teachers and staff of Stanton-Smith were recognized at the Oct. 9 Whitehouse Independent School District board meeting for attaining National Blue Ribbon school status, one of only 28 schools in Texas to achieve the distinction. WISD Superintendent Dr. Christopher Moran presented Haskell with “Good to Great,” a book by Jim Collins, in recognition of Stanton-Smith’s accomplishments. more
Whitehouse Independent School District celebrated the groundbreaking of Mozelle Brown Elementary School, a pre-kindergarten through 5th grade school in the Whitehouse ISD. One of four elementary schools, Brown Elementary will replace the current aging campus in downtown Whitehouse. The campus will open in August of 2018 and continue to serve the students of Whitehouse ISD located in Southeast Tyler and North of the city of Whitehouse. more
