When the last photos, copy and cutlines are added to The Wildcat, the WHS high school yearbook, after graduation, there is a collective sigh of relief from the student staff as well as the advisor Paige Dyer. This year was no different. The last of the proofs were sent, corrections made and it was done. Confident they had done their best to put together a great book of memories for their classmates, the staff hugged and parted ways for the summer. more

The Whitehouse ISD trustees’ meeting began with accolades to several members of the Wildcat family. WJHS Principal Josh Garred was chosen as the 2017-18 TASSP Middle School Principal of the Year for Region 7. “This honor is a reflection of the work being done at the junior high by he and his staff on behalf of our students,” WISD Superintendent Dr. Chris Moran said. “Kudos to you.” more

After 46 years of itchy uniforms, marching drills, hot summer practices and the thrill of seeing his kids succeed; Denny Whitley has hung up his director’s baton and is ready to enjoy a change in scenery. This calls for a celebration. Friends, family, colleagues, band boosters and of course band alumni from Whitehouse, Clarksville and Timpson are all invited to attend the Whitley Band Reunion set for Saturday, July 1, at Whitehouse High School. more
The Whitehouse High School First Ladies Officers recently returned from the American Dance/Drill Team officer camp in Rockwall. First Ladies Director Kayla Norman said the girls were challenged and worked hard all week earning top awards for their performances. more
