August is on the horizon and that prompts preparations for the start of school. In Whitehouse ISD that first day is Aug. 16 and that is not far away. In efforts to help many in the community, the Whitehouse Food Pantry (Philadelphia Blessing), is collecting several of the basic school supplies for distribution to their clients. more
Troup High School senior Colton Whitsell was asked to go to Texas Boys State by American Legion Post 418 of Troup. American Legion Boys State provides an outstanding educational program of government instruction for high school students. Students travel to Austin where they become a part of the operation of local, county and state government. It also emphasizes the importance of being a good citizen and how to be active in your community. more
All eleven 2016-2017 Whitehouse High School Veterinary Medical Application Practicum students received their verification that they have all passed their Certified Veterinary Assistants exam. Out of the 11, four students have completed their 300-hour clinical observation requirement and have their certification in hand, while seven have minimum hours left to complete in a clinic and will have their full certification at the end of the summer. more
Jessica Carter of Whitehouse was one of 69 students named to the College of Pharmacy dean’s list for Spring 2017. Dean’s list standing is reserved for full-time students with a 3.80 or higher grade point average. more
Tyler Junior College has announced 40 graduates from the associate degree nursing program for May 2017. more
Pre-registration is now open for returning Whitehouse ISD students on-line. Students’ families can complete this pre-registration process through Family Access. If you have forgotten or lost your password, click on “Forgot your Login/Password?” on the login page and enter the email address you originally signed up with. more
While Whitehouse ISD is encouraging the use of online registration for returning students, high school parents and students are still required to complete the process on campus Tuesday and Wednesday, Aug. 1-2, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Several tasks can only be completed on campus. more
