Services were under the direction of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup. Norma passed away on Dec. 1. She was born Nov. 19 in Houston, Texas to William Deshayes and Essie Banks Deshayes. Norma was a great health care provider for her Alzheimer patients and she enjoyed making people laugh. Norma loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and other family members. She is preceded in death by her late husband, Joe W. Calley, Sr. more

Funeral services for Marvin Lee Isaacks, 62, of Arp, will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, at Cottle Funeral Home in Troup. Burial will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery under the direction of Cottle Funeral Home. Marvin Isaacks passed away Saturday, Sept. 30. He was born November 4, 1954 in Jacksonville to Eldris Isaacks and Patsy Whitesides Isaacks. Marvin graduated from Troup ISD in 1973 and went on to attend Texas A&M University, graduating in 1978. He married the love his life, Debra Cubine, in 1976 and the two were married for 41 years this past June. Marvin was the first State FFA Vice President. He loved being an educator, but his favorite thing was farming. Marvin taught agriculture, political science, economics, history, as well as many other subjects at West Rusk and Kilgore schools. He loved his family dearly. more
