Similar to its public school counterpart, the Universal Interscholastic League (UIL), the governing body for Texas private schools recently redrew the district boundary lines for several sports, which will affect athletics at The Brook Hill School for the next two school years. According to Brook Hill Athletic Director Wally Dawkins, although the lines have been changed somewhat for several sports, there’s a sense of familiarity due to the differences in number of opponents competing under the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools umbrella. more
The University Interscholastic League, the governing body of Texas public school sports, released the biennial UIL Reclassification and Realignment for football, volleyball, and basketball for the 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 school years Thursday, Feb. 1. With the release of the new UIL Reclassification and Realignment, Bullard athletic programs will face competition more similar to their size, with several changes being made around the three sports. more
During a special scheduled board meeting on Friday, Feb. 2, the Bullard Independent School District Board of Trustees appointed Donny Williams to serve as Interim Principal at Bullard High School for the remainder of the 2017-2018 school year. ““We are blessed to have Mr. Donny Williams step up and lead BHS,” said Todd Schneider, Bullard ISD Superintendent. “He is a man of tremendous character and passion for students and staff. We look forward to the positive impact he will immediately make on the campus and community.” more
The Bullard Education Foundation has announced details regarding the upcoming ninth annual BEF Strides for Excellence Fun Run, to be held 8 p.m. Friday, March 30, on the grounds of the Bullard Independent School District. “We are super excited about this year’s event because it’s always great to see the Bullard community come together to support a worthy cause such an organization giving back to students at Bullard ISD,” said Erin Thiem, BEF president. “It’s our biggest fundraiser event of the year. It’s a great family event that allows us to glow brightly for education at our local school district.” more
