The identities of a suspect and Smith County Sheriff’s Office deputy involved in a recent shooting incident have been released. According to a press release from the Smith County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred at approximately 12:35 a.m. Saturday, June 17, when a patrol deputy made a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 8400 block of County Road 35, also known as Lavender Road. more
