Community Activities TCDC to meet The Troup Community Development Corporation is meeting at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 22. The meeting is open to the public and residents are encouraged to attend. A seat on the TCDC board remains open and interested parties can find an application at www.trouptexas.org under the tab, “apply to serve on city board or commission.” TCDC can also be found on facebook at Troup Community Development Corporation. more
Community Activities Tyler Aggie Moms The Tyler Aggie Moms will host their annual Family Soup Dinner and 2017 Aggie Graduate recognition event at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 16. Community Activities Cherokee County Genealogical Society The next regular meeting of the Cherokee County Genealogical Society will be held at 5 p.m. Monday, Jan. 8, at the First United Methodist Church, 1031 SE Loop 456, in Jacksonville. The meeting will be followed by light “Pot Luck” refreshments provided by CCGS members.  Regular CCGS meetings are held the second Monday evening of the months September through May unless otherwise announced. Community Activities Rockin’ Christmas The Whitehouse Christmas parade begins 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 2. Those who want to participate in the parade must submit an entry form and must be signed up by Nov. 30. Forms can also be picked up and dropped off at Kelly A/C and Heating, 208 Highway 110 South, or Kay Taylor – Farmer’s Insurance, 1008 Highway 110 South.
